ATUAÇÃO DAS ENFERMEIRAS NA PROMOÇÃO E APOIO AO ALEITAMENTO MATERNO NO PRÉ-NATAL: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Objetivo: discutir, com base na literatura científica, a atuação das enfermeiras na promoção e apoio ao aleitamento materno no pré-natal. Método: revisão integrativa de literatura, desenvolvida em junho de 2021, com os descritores: gestantes, enfermagem, educação em saúde, cuidado de pré-natal, educação pré-natal e aleitamento materno. Resultados: das 749 publicações identificadas, nove atendiam aos critérios de elegibilidade. As enfermeiras utilizam diversas estratégias nas práticas educativas de promoção e apoio ao aleitamento, apresentando repercussões positivas, o que facilita a adesão ao ato de amamentar. Todavia, existem lacunas nas práticas educativas durante o pré-natal, podendo levar ao desmame precoce. Conclusão: estratégias educacionais são utilizadas pelas enfermeiras, que orientam as gestantes acerca do aleitamento materno, porém novas abordagens educativas e temáticas precisam ser discutidas visando a integralidade que a amamentação representa para a mulher, o bebê e a família.
