SINTOMAS NEUROLÓGICOS APRESENTADOS POR PESSOAS COM COVID-19 LONGA: REVISÃO DE ESCOPO

Resumo

Objetivo: analisar os sintomas neurológicos desenvolvidos por pessoas com COVID-19 longa. Métodos: trata-se de uma revisão de escopo realizada nas bases de dados Web of Science, MEDLINE, LILACS, SCOPUS, SCIELO, Google Scholar e LitCovid. Para a inclusão, considerou-se artigos que abordaram: influência da idade, sexo, presença de comorbidades e situação vacinal. Resultados: foram selecionados nove estudos, que mostram os sintomas neurológicos mais comuns na COVID-19 longa como cefaleia, distúrbios do sono, fadiga e déficit cognitivo. Esses sintomas foram descritos em diferentes faixas etárias, sendo mais prevalentes em pessoas idosas e com comorbidades. Alguns estudos apontando maior prevalência em mulheres, enquanto outros não identificaram diferenças significativas. Já a situação vacinal foi pouco explorada, sem associações consistentes com desfechos neurológicos. Conclusão: a COVID-19 longa com manifestações neurológicos permanece um desafio em saúde pública, com impacto relevante na qualidade de vida. Persistem lacunas sobre o papel do sexo e da vacinação, evidenciando a necessidade de pesquisas mais robustas que orientem estratégias de prevenção e cuidado.
